Rescued and taken to the vet for emergency care...
Found to have severe tick fever with concern for a life threatening lung condition...
He has been boarded at the Vet clinic since his rescue almost 2 weeks ago, receiving treatment for his tick fever and malnutrition.
HOWEVER, further testing identified a serious condition called a diaphragmatic hernia, in which his abdominal organs have been pushed into his chest, compressing his lungs and causing his difficulty breathing. This may have been due to blunt trauma as we have come to know
Treatment for this condition is life saving surgery and he is now carded for this tomorrow!
Without this surgery, he will continue to struggle to breathe and will deteriorate.
The cost of his vet bill is now over TT $7000.00 and we are appealing to our community to help us cover this bill so that we can give Valiant a fighting chance at life. He is too young to not be given this chance.
